Four Problems, One Barrier.
Rodents
Rats and possums are known to gnaw on wiring, posing a real risk to your solar electrical system.
Electrical Hazards
Damaged wiring under the array can escalate into a fire hazard if it goes unnoticed.
Pigeon Infestations
Pigeons nesting beneath your panels create health concerns and degrade your property.
Debris Build-Up
Leaves and debris trapped under the array can lead to roof damage and deterioration.
Why Pigeons Move In Under Panels.
The underside of a solar array has become a popular nesting spot for pigeons. It is sheltered and out of reach, which is exactly what a nesting bird is looking for.
The debris they drag in for nests, along with their droppings and pecking at wiring, has become a growing concern for solar owners. Leaves and branches trapped under the array cause their own trouble if they are left there for good.
Signs You’ve Got Birds Under There
- Pigeons landing on the roof and disappearing under the panels
- Droppings building up on the roof, in the gutters or on the ground below
- Twigs, leaves and nesting material poking out from under the array
- Cooing or scratching noises coming from the roof
Built To Protect, Made To Disappear.
Solar systems are designed to last 20 to 25 years. A pigeon-proof barrier protects that investment for the long haul, and a neat mesh install also tidies the look of the array by concealing the wiring underneath.
Protection does not stop at the panels. We can also install bird spikes on chimneys and antennas while we are there.
Already dealing with a nest? Pair the barrier with a pure water panel clean and the array comes back protected and at full production in one visit.
What We Can Fit.
Solar Panel Mesh
A mesh barrier around the edge of the array keeps pigeons, rodents and debris from getting underneath.
Chimney Spikes
Bird spikes on the chimney stop birds using it as a perch, fitted in the same visit.
Antenna Spikes
Spikes on TV antennas keep birds from roosting over the roof and your panels.

What Our Customers Say.
Fantastic service and quality work. I had my solar panels bird proofed and cleaned. Thanks Eco Solar panel cleaning
Having a tree in close proximity to the house means my panels are constantly getting hit with bird droppings not to mention just everyday dirt and grime. The guys from Eco arrived on time and the panels were looking like new once they had finished and for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended 👌.
I'm so pleased with having Mick clean my solar panels. It's something I wish I'd done sooner, as I suspected they weren't performing at their best.
Production went up 1.8 kwh per day, which was their expected output.
Not to forget he's a nice helpful bloke with loads of knowledge and experience. I'll have him back in a year to do them again. I'm highly recommending him.
I found Mick in the little Aussie directory and I’m so glad I did. Mick came out the same day and cleaned my panels and even shared the before and after photos my panels have never looked so good! A few days later Mick came back and tackled my gutters which is a big job in it’s self as my house is next to massive trees on council land. I highly recommend Mick and his family owned business for their efficient and professionalism which I will be using every 6 months for years to come one very happy customer!

Bird Proofing Questions.
Do I Need Bird Proofing If I Don’t Have Pigeons Yet?
It is worth it even before a problem starts. A barrier keeps birds, rodents and debris out from day one, and it tidies the look of the system by concealing the wiring underneath.
Why Is Bird Proofing Worth It?
Solar systems are designed to last 20 to 25 years. A pigeon-proof barrier protects that investment from nesting debris, droppings and chewed wiring for the long haul.
Will The Mesh Be Noticeable?
It is designed to be discreet. A neat install actually improves the look of the array by hiding the wiring underneath.
Can You Clean The Panels At The Same Time?
Yes. Pair the barrier with a pure water panel clean and the array comes back protected and at full production in one visit.
Do You Bird Proof Commercial Solar Systems?
Yes. We bird proof residential and commercial solar systems across the Perth metro area.
